Affordable hotel that needs a little tweaking
The hotel and room was clean. The location is good - lots of restaurants within walking distance and less than 10 minutes walk to Bintang Megamall. The room was a good size with a TV that allows you to connect to Netflix.
Bathroom drain was somewhat clogged so it took a long time to drain. Because it's a small space, the water pooled up quickly and we ended up standing in a pool of our own dirty water. It also overflowed into the toilet area. We had to wait 10-15 mins between each other's shower due to this. We didn't raise this with reception as our stay was just the day. Our room was freshly cleaned when we checked-in. However, I believe the housekeeping team may have used too much floor detergent as the floor was sticky. Maybe another mop with water would remove the stickyness. Breakfast was a terrible experience. I think the hotel had a extra busy weekend and was not ready to handle the volume. Food was almost empty by the time we got there at 8.30am and it was not replenish by the time we left. Saw lots of people standing around waiting with empty plates. Also limited seating as they had this huge podium - something they should have removed the night before to increase seating before breakfast. Either way, I still rate this hotel high. It's a new hotel so maybe they lack experience in certain areas and were great in the areas that matter.
